A smart plug is a relay with opinions about your network. The S10’s opinions
are better than most: schedules run on the plug, not in someone else’s data
centre, so a broadband outage does not turn your lamp timer off.

Correction
We first published the standby draw as 0.9 W without noting that the figure was
taken at full LED brightness rather than the default. Corrected 2026-01-08; the
